Bryce to Moab

Tried to think of a creative, clever title but settled for the pragmatic. We are tired. If you had seen the intense beauty we were seeing every minute of this drive you would be exhausted, too. Imagine the most dramatic landscape possible, constantly changing but always amazing. Red rock, pink rock, white rock, green sage, hoodoos, cliffs, mountains, mesas, canyons, millions of years of geological drama on display. Multiply that scenery by an ever-changing sky casting light and darkness as thunderstorms roll through, dark clouds competing with bright sun. A sunglasses and windshield wipers kind of day–simultaneously.

We actually have an internet connection tonight that allowed us to upload some photos within a reasonable amount of time. We took so many pictures! Molly takes fantastic pictures out the car window–and we are deeply grateful she has not dropped her phone out the window (nor will she–that’s a story that doesn’t need to happen.)

Tomorrow we’re going to explore Arches National Park.

Hoping these photos can tell the story of our day better than I can.
